A total of 7,067 people signed the online Hate Crimes Petition by the 28/03/08

T-shirts, hoodies, and tote bags are available for sale in support of the fund. Merchandise can be bought from the myspace page above.
The Petition to change the definition of a Hate Crime has currently been declined, however the judge regarded the crime as a Hate Crime & this was reflected in the sentencing.

There is a fund set up in memory of Sophie it is:

The fund is ran by a committee of family and close friends who knew Sophie. The aim of the fund is to provide an appropriate memorial; a lasting legacy to raise awareness of the injustice perpetrated against Sophie Lancaster and to work towards a more tolerant, less violent society.
